Christmas decorating has to be one of my favorite traditions and the first Saturday after Thanksgiving I feel an erg to start putting things up. Clay has been a real peach and has basically let me be in charge of the decoration schedule and we were lucky enough to have Sol and Hazy help us.
This year brought on the debate of using a star or an angel as a tree topper (there are also the possibilities of using a bow or snowflake but we didn't want to complicate things). We decided on doing a star, although both of us had angels on top of our childhood trees. We also have chosen to start a new tradition for our own little family of placing our star on the mantel to be displayed until Christmas Eve when we will place it on the top of the tree. (awww...we are starting our own traditions as a little family). Now if only I could come up with an easy way to remember this tradition.
