The event that Clay and I have been hearing so much about finally came. THE NATIONAL PEANUT FESTIVAL!! We got to attend this festival with my mother, sister, brother-in-law and their kids (which is always more fun). We first walked in and they had huge buckets of free peanuts. People would just walk up and talk fistfuls of peanuts and shove them in their pockets (very fitting of this festival).
We ate some delicious festival food and got to visit our church's "elephant ear" stand. They also had some amazing kettle corn that they made right on the spot in these serious looking pots. We also got some boiled peanuts which were some of the best we have had.
There was some animals at the fair including a very LARGE pig wearing sunglasses. We got to take a photo with it and received a legit Polaroid to always remember that pig by.
Ah the memories of the Peanut Festival.
