This year the kids and I went back to the same little pumpkin stand with our friends Katie and Eliza that we did last year. It was so cute to see the kids run around looking at all the different pumpkins. The twins are loving the Curious George Halloween Pumpkin show and they were very excited to see hundreds of pumpkins...and they were allowed to touch every single one (which Rhett tried to do).
Avonlea tried to pick one up and then declared loudly that it was "too heavy". The lady working at the stand told us that she made a rule in her family that you can choose your own pumpkin if you can lift it. I love this rule and that means the toddlers got some of the wee pumpkins.
When we had finished up Katie remarked that she remembers it being a little more calm last year when the kids couldn't run as fast and she is totally right. The twins made a mad dash in opposite directions almost the whole time but thankfully other people were kind enough to help round them up if they went too far. Apparently it takes a whole village to successfully get the twins to pick out two tiny pumpkins.
HAPPY PUMPKIN PICKING AND HOLD ONTO YOUR HATS!
