One of our favorite Fall activities is going to the North Logan Pumpkin Walk (2011, 2013). This year we went in the middle of the day and it was SO MUCH BETTER! First off it was a whole lot warmer and second off it wasn't too crowded.
They had some really cool pumpkin displays up this year and in each one had a hidden Mickey Mouse (which we sucked at finding). My favorite display was the black and white Mickey on his steam boat (pictured below) and Clay's was one that the city put up about not dumping your RV waste on the side of the road (not pictured...but was pretty funny).
At the end of the pumpkin walk you can go into a small covered area that displayed some really intricately carved pumpkins. This year they did a tribute to Robert Williams and carved the different characters that he has played. They also had famous pieces of art made out of cereal, some beautifully painted pumpkins and at the end they had a "real" witch, who you would tell what you were dressing up as for Halloween and she gave you Goldfish (we skipped her...because you can't trust a witch...ever).
Of course we had to end the route with putting our heads into the little cutouts (which you can totally tell the kids loved). I strongly believe that someday the kids will be happy that I did silly little things like this with them....or they may not care...either way it was very cute.
HAPPY FALL FESTIVITIES!
