Moultrie Family Camp out 2013

One of the highlights of this summer was the annual Moultrie Family Camp out.  It was the first time that we most of us were going to be together since Christmas and so there was a lot of hype in the Clay/Chelsea household.  The hype was only dampened by the fact that all of our camping gear was still packed away and we had no idea where it was.  Thankfully our families came to the rescue and allowed us to borrow just about everything.
With everything we needed we head to "The Spot".  It was actually the first time I had been to this magical spot that the boys found while camping as kids.  It actually is a pretty awesome spot up the Logan Canyon that has it's own little fishing spot (which Joy and I jumped into...we probably scared all the fish away for the rest of the trip...good one Chels).
We also took a day trip up to Bear Lake on the Idaho side and it was perfect weather.  It was cool in the shade and warm in the sunlight...just how we like it.  Once we got back to camp we made some delicious food and the little specs of dust give an earthy flavor that just added to the ambiance.

Although we had an awesome time I think Joy loved it most of all.  She got to run around and explore with the kids (and unfortunately drag Ella into the river...sorry about that).  She is a little Southern pup but apparently she has a little bit of Mt. dog in her too. (who would have thought?)
