Sunday, July 24

24th of july.

So the 24th was great and this year was no exception. The Bountiful parade was a great highlight and this year Clay and I got to drive the ambulance. This was Clay's first year doing it but it turned out to be good (expect for the kids on the roof who kept breaking the roles). The route was only about 25 min long and the entire parade was only an hour and half (which is significantly shorter than the other years).

Earlier that day Liesel did a beautiful job and took some 1 year pictures for us. It was at a lovely location up a canyon and it was so relaxed. Even Clay who gets very nervous about taking pictures was able to enjoy it. We got a sneak peek yesterday on FB and man oh man are we excited to see more! Thank you Liesel for making Clay and I look like a modern day Romeo and Juliet. lol

Fireworks ended the day with a bang and it was great. The fireworks were right over our heads and lasted for exactly 1/2 hour. Matt was a little frightened at first but it got better. Ella did awesome and kept trying to grab the fireworks. She also is in love with Clay right now and kept making him point at the fireworks with her.

The next morning was the Chuck Wagon Breakfast as well as a 5k race that Brit, Cam and I planned to run. Camie kicked butt and Brit was so sweet and stayed with me. We ended up finishing around 31 min. Not bad at all but I am so not excited for the 1/2 marathon...not at all.

All-in-all the weekend was definitely fun filled!
